The Nissan Murano is a beautifully designed handsome crossover SUV that blends style with spacious comfort and fun driving characteristics.
This sport utility, designed to drive on the road, not off-road, has car-like driving manners and is marketed by Nissan as an “urban SUV”. For those looking for rugged off-road ability you should not look at the Murano.
The Sleekly designed exterior features wraparound surfaces and a prominent front-grille and sculptured glass line. The front headlamps are stacked on top of each other and house HID bulbs, while at the rear the lightweight cargo door and from reinforced plastic makes it light and easy to open and close. A sporty profile is added to the SUV profile with front and rear spoilers; all riding on 18-inch wheels and tires.
The interior of the Murano is cleanly styled and provides comfortable accommodation for up to five adults. Aluminum trim tops of the instrument panel, with a monitor and integrates climate and audio controls. The “floating” centre console is distinctively designed with orange illuminated gauges that are easy to read. In the rear the seat is split folding with a reclining feature and remote flip-down, which make them easily, removed to increase cargo space. Plenty of cubbyholes are spotted throughout the cabin, including a lockable console box up front that can hold a laptop.
The Murano shares its platform with the Altima and Maxima sedans and have car-like independent four-wheel suspension. It handles excellent, particularly for a utility vehicle.
The award-winning 245 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 is coupled with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), which offers smooth operation and greater fuel-efficiency than a traditional automatic. While the CVT offers fuel saving benefits, out on the road it has a sluggish response in heavy traffic conditions.
