If you are looking for an exciting family sedan, Mazda 6 offers a “zoom-zoom” drive to school with the kids, to the mall or to the office.
With its sharp road manners, stylish design and well-appointed cabin, the Mazda 6 has clearly been designed for driver pleasure and occupant comfort, with a focus on safety, quality build and flexible package.
In terms of interior space, the Mazda 6 is smaller than the competition, more significantly in the back rather than the front. In terms of overall performance and power the Mazda 6 falls slightly behind competitors, but the drive-chains are smooth and quiet which make up for this difference.
The Mazda 6 comes in a flexible array of delivery options, as sedan, wagon or five-door hatchback, in a variety of trim levels. Standard equipment at base trim levels include tilt/telescoping steering wheel, air conditioning, an audio system with steering wheel-mounted controls, cruise control, power windows, electric mirrors and central locking. Sports models come with 17-inch alloy wheels, electronically adjusted driver seat and automatic climate control. The range topping Grand Touring package includes an automatic gearbox, leather upholstery, sporty red gauges and instrument controls, moon roof, a high-end audio system, and heated seats and mirrors.
Power plants available include a 160-horsepower 2.3-liter four-cylinder, with five-speed manual transmission or optional five-speed automatic, and 215-horspower 3.0-liter V6, with five-speed manual or six-speed automatic.
Though neither engine is exceptionally powerful for this class of car, their smooth, quiet power delivery offsets this negative issue. The Mazda 6 is fun to drive on both highways and B-roads, due to its suspension that delivers a superb balance between ride quality and handling.
