DESCRIPTION

The Toyota Highlander is a hybrid SUV, which utilizes the company’s Hybrid Synergy Drive Technology. It boasts of high fuel efficiency and reduced exhaust emissions. In addition, it provides a comfortable driving experience.

The Highlander Hybrid's V-6 engine delivers power and fuel economy. Its Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle rating is rare for an SUV. The four wheel-drive Limited model comes with a $2,000 touch-screen GPS navigation system, which also displays hybrid use and fuel economy. From a performance standpoint, the Highlander Hybrid delivers 0-to-60 acceleration in just 7.5 seconds, along with 25mpg fuel economy. The continuously variable transmission gives the entire acceleration band an enjoyably smooth feeling. The engine is accompanied with a 123-watt electric motor. This motor becomes a generator when the throttle is eased or brakes are applied.

The Highlander also has some superb safety features. Dual-stage smart air bags and seat-mounted side air bags provide collision security for the driver and the front passenger. Toyota provides a combination of vehicle-stability control, antilock brakes with brake assist, and brake-force distribution. These features add to the safety of the vehicle.

The Highlander Hybrid is available in two models: Standard and Limited, both available with front-wheel- or four-wheel-drive systems. It comes with a basic warranty of 36 months/36,000 miles. The Limited version comes with eight speaker JBL system, with an in-dash CD changer.

In conclusion, the Highlander is a powerful, fuel efficient vehicle. However, its price tag of $34,330 may be too steep for many buyers. You should definitely consider buying it if you can afford the high initial cost.
