The Ford Endeavour meets the needs of an SUV customer. It offers a superior combination of SUV looks, handling and performance. Its tough exterior styling is characteristic of Ford's SUV heritage, and it shows a commanding road presence. This vehicle has had its origins from the Mazda Fighter and the Ford Ranger, which is built for the Southeast Asian markets. Outside of India, the Endeavour is known as the Ford Everest.
The vehicle dimensions (length 4,959 mm, width 1,805 mm and height 1,835 mm) demonstrate a towering image. The exterior has a bright front-end across the full width, large chrome grille, multi-reflector headlamps, clear combination lamps and styled bumpers.
Powered by a 2.5 L turbocharged and inter-cooled diesel engine, the Endeavour offers the best ride and handling performance in its class. Maximum power is a decent 110PS, while Maximum torque of 272Nm is produced at 2000rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Both two-wheel drive and four wheel versions are available.
Despite its huge size, the Endeavour can seat only four adults absolutely comfortably. Up to seven can be seated, but rather uncomfortably. One can remove the third row seat, completely freeing up luggage space and still providing seating for five. Ford provides cup holders for all the seven passengers and air conditioning for all three rows of seats.
With its competitive pricing, the Endeavour is has virtually no competition in its segment. For those who don’t worry too much about performance but like size nonetheless, the Endeavour makes a good choice.
