The current version of the Ford Taurus is getting a little bit long in the tooth, but that does not mean that people are not interested in buying it.
The number one thing that the Taurus has going for it is price. Ford offers many different models of the Taurus, and all of them are priced right. In addition to the low pricing this car is also heavily discounted. This means that anybody who is in the market for a midsize sedan can find what they are looking for in the Taurus.
The Taurus has fallen well behind the class leaders from Honda and Toyota. But that does not mean that the Taurus does not have a spot in the market. It offers a comfortable ride, and adequate engines.
You will have a choice between two different V6 engines; one that puts out 155 horsepower, and another that puts out 201. If you are looking to get around town without any problems, you will want to opt for the bigger engine. It is much more capable than its undersized counterpart. Both engines do a decent job on gas, and promise to get the owner approximately 20 miles per gallon in the city, and 27 on the highway.
The Taurus also offers a comfortable ride. It is somewhat stiff over rough roads, but nothing that will ruffle your feathers.
The main downfall of this car is that the interior build quality is not up to par with the other cars in its class. This turns buyers off because they are worried about the long term reliability of the car.
Overall, if you are in the market for a cheap, midsize sedan, the Ford Taurus may be right for you. It does not do anything great, but it does everything good enough to get you through the day.
