Cloudy Car Wax: What to Do to Fix It : Fix It Ontrack

Many individuals take extremely good care of their cars. No matter if the vehicle is new, old or in between, individuals tend to treat their vehicles with the utmost of care. After washing the vehicle, many car owners like to wax the car as well. For those who experience a cloudy finish from the car wax after doing so, there are a few ways to combat this problem and produce a nice, shiny finish.

Try a Few Different Products

If one experiences trouble with a particular type of car wax, it is advisable to try a few different car wax products and determine which one works the best. If one variety of car wax always produces a cloudy finish, try switching to another one to see if the same rings true for that one. After sampling a few different types of car wax, choose the one which does not leave a cloudy residue.

Don’t Use Too Much Wax

Another thing which can cause a cloudy finish after waxing one’s car is using too much car wax in the process. It is important to use just enough to do the job but not so much as to have leftover residue on the vehicle. A small amount will work just fine.

Let the Wax Soak In

It is also beneficial to let the wax dry and have a chance to soak into the automobile. Once the wax looks dry enough, take a clean rag and start waxing the vehicle until a nice shine is produced and any cloudy residue is absent from the vehicle.
